The County Historical Museum in Murphy, North Carolina displays the rich history of Native American and pioneer settlers in the far-western corner of the state. The museum is housed in a historic Carnegie Library building in downtown Murphy. Their collection includes over 2,000 Cherokee artifacts, 40 exhibit panels, and antiques. $3 admission.

Visit us at the Stone House for sweeping panoramic views of the vineyard hills and mountain landscape. The Stone House boasts a large open air patio, as well as cozy indoor seating options. It is also the venue for many of our Private Events! Tasting Flights, Wine by the Glass, and Wine by the Bottle are available at the Stone House Tasting Room. No reservations required. A selection of cheese and gourmet snacks is available for purchase. We do not allow outside food at the Stone House, though we do allow outside picnics at the Farmhouse Market Picnic Area. Great buffet and game room located downtown Murphy. Pizza is made fresh, and you can request items, along with a drink station, salad bar, and deserts BUT the kids will love the game room and prizes they can win (35 mins).

The Ducktown Basin Museum is located on the historic mine site, which was the headquarters for Tennessee Copper Company and Cities Service mining operations from 1899 through 1975 (15 mins).

See the countries largest permanent display of genuine artifacts, life-size exhibits, large sighting maps, and the world's only Bigfoot Research and Tech vehicle on display. Enjoy the Sasquatch Theater, browse the gift shop, or relax in our Bigfoot Reference Library. This is one of those roadside attractions worth the $8 admission. Its a bit hokey, especially the Bigfoot poop. This is a great last stop before returning to Atlanta.

Original and affordable works of art and creative Appalachian crafts are hand-crafted by our dozens of artist members and are on display and for sale ​at our gorgeous downtown Murphy gallery. It takes about 20 minutes or so to go through the various rooms but you'll find interesting and unique art at very affordable prices.
